Logiqids Mental Aptitude Olympiad Contest
Advik Deepak from class 3B secured the 9th rank Internationally in the final stage of LogiQids Mental Aptitude Olympiad 2024-2025. He was awarded a certificate of appreciation.
WORLD RECORDS-2024-2025
Happy to share that Sanjhana from 2A has received her second world record recognised by the International Book of Records, for the fastest saying of 100 idioms in the Native English language.
The world record of fastest recitation of 1 to 100 counting in 30 seconds 63 milliseconds was achieved by Chimala Sahasranjali of class V A. She also got Anbalar Ayya Vidyashram, Manamadurai, conducted Independence Day Contest. Sahasranjali. C of class 6A participated in various competitions and won prizes in Junior category. She received certificates and medals in the following
First prize in Dance, Sloka Chanting, Story telling
Second prize in, Speech, Singing. Third prize in Drawing.
Sahasranjali. C of class 6A has received the prestigious title”Naatiya Kala Ratna” from Nirthyam, the School of Dance, Choolaimedu. She participated in the massive record breaking event ” Sirkali Sangamam and performed on the theme of Panchabootham, honouring Mother Nature. This is officially registered in Jackhi Book of World Record.
S. Shai Sanjay of class 1 participated in a world record event “Thirukkural 10 minutes Challenge ” and successfully presented 100 Thirukkural in 07 minutes 10 seconds.
JACKHI BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS (JBWR) , recognised this outstanding accomplishment and registered on 06 September 2024 presenting him with a shield, medal and a certificate.
SILAMBAM COMPETITION
S. Yohan Sharwath of class 3A and Yohith Sharwath. S of class 3B have bagged silver position for under 8 categories in the 1st National Silambam Championship 2024 conducted by ” Swami Vivekananda Silambam Koodam” held at “Montford Indoor stadium, Santhome Higher Secondary school, Mylapore -Chennai on 11th August 2024.
Veera Tamilan Silambam Martial Arts conducted 1st National Silambam Championship- 2024 at Montford Indoor Stadium Santhome Higher Secondary School, Mylapore on 11th August 2024. Shri Sai Rakshana.Y of class 4A secured a bronze position for single stick category. She received certificate and a bronze medal.
Youth Games Council India conducted 3rd National Youth Games – 2024-25 in Silamban event on 08.01.2025. Shrisai Rakshana .Y of class 4A bagged gold in the event single stick under 10 years category. She received a medal and a certificate.
Easan Silambam Kalai Kazhagam had conducted a competition on 15 September 2024.

Lakshya J and Vishnu Priya M. of Class 1A participated in the Chennai District Silambam Association event on 22nd and 23rd February 2025 at Sir M.C.T. Muthiah Chettiar Boys’ School, Purasawakkam and they won the Best Performers Award.

In the 155th Regional Abacus Competition – Brainobrainfest 2024
Neerav. S of class 3B received a Championship certificate.
ART COMPETITION
Nitiksha P class 2B participated in Art competition, conducted by Sri Dharshini Kalai koodam – Chennai on 16.07.24 and bagged shield and certificate for the same.
Achievement Global Art School conducted Art Competition on August 25th. Preksha of class 4A won the 3rd Runner Up out of 300 Participants. She received a medal and a trophy
S.J Vedhavarshini of class 3B had participated in the “Kreative star 24”, regional finals drawing competition conducted by Globalart on 24th November 2024.She was received with a participation certificate and a free class trial gift card worth rupees 600.
Vishnu Priya M. of Class 1A won the 1st prize in Clay Modelling and the 3rd prize in the Drawing competition conducted by Little Finger on 23rd February 2025.
CRICKET TOURNAMENT
D.A.V. Krida Kendram organised Bhagat Singh inter-school cricket tournament conducted at D.A.V SM Fomra school, Kelambakkam from 28th to 31st Aug 2024 our team won 2nd Runner-up in under 18 category.
SCIENCE COMPETITION
Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre Conducted various competition on National Space Day Celebration at Periyar Science and Technology Centre on 09 .08 .24 Jananya. S of class 7A participated in Painting competition and received Medal and Certificate for participation.
ATHLETIC ACHIEVEMENT
Padma Sarangapani Matric Higher Secondary School, Arumbakkam conducted Zonal Level 400mts dash. Pranitha V of class 6B received third position under 14 girls category.She received a medal and a certificate.
On July 27-28 at SSR skating rink Gerugampakkam, Tanu Shree P of class 2-A took part in the district speed skating championship 2024 and emerged victorious in the relay match by winning the gold medal.
FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
In the RDS and BDS zonal football competition, the U14 boys’ team from ARUMBAKKAM B zone won in the championship.
Altius Sports Academy – Blue Cubs Baby League conducted Man of the match in football Competition at DAV Boys , Mogappair. Naresh Kumar V Y of class 4A received a certificate and a medal for showing great effort in goal keeping.
TAMIL ELOCUTION CONTEST
S S Kavin of class 5 B participated in the Inter School Tamil Elocution Contest conducted by Sethu Bhaskara Matric Higher Secondary school ,Ambattur ,Chennai 53 on 31st August and received First prize. He was awarded a certificate and a cash award of rupees 2000 on 2nd November 2024.
CHESS TOURNAMENT
Kanishka J of class VI A got I Place in the Class VI Girls Category in the III Chanakya Inter D.A.V Chess tournament conducted at Dav Girls Mogappair by D.A.V Krida Kendram on 16.11.24.
Akshith M of Class VII A got I Place in the Class VII Boys Category.
Soorya Ranganathan of IV A got III Place in the Class IV Boys Category.
Velammal Vidyalaya , Madambakkam conducted ‘CHESSSPIRE’ – National Interschool chess Tournament on 26.01.25. Rahul Niranjan . R of class 5B secured 4 points out of 6 under 11 boys category. He received a certificate of excellence.
Visvashree K M of class 3A had participated in Velammal Tondiarpet State Level Chess Tournament conducted by playu.in at Velammal Bodhi Campus Tondiarpet,125,Vaidhyanathan St.Tondiarpet , Chennai on 8 th February 2025.
She received a trophy and a certificate for securing 15 th place under 9 girls category .
ABACUS COMPETITION
Neerav. S of 3-B participated in the 44 th India National Level Abacus Competition – Brainobrainfest 2024,held on 19 th & 20 th October 2024 in Chennai and has been presented with a Champion certificate and a trophy.
BADMINTON TOURNAMENT
DAV KRIDA KENDRAM had conducted Swami Shraddhanand Badminton Tournament on 9 November 2024 for parent, staff and alumni of D. A. V Group of Schools.
Shri Pujala Veeraiah, parent of Pujala Venkata Rishika of class 3 and Pujala Lasya of class 1, had bagged the 3 rd place in the badminton tournament and received a shield for the same.
ROLLER SKATING INTER SCHOOL TOURNAMENT-2025
Velammal Knowledge Park Ponneri conducted Roller Skating Inter School Tournament 2025.P.Tanushree of class II won the third position in 200m under 7 to 9 category.
Tanu Shree .P of class 2A has achieved a Record by continuously skating for 76 minutes and 76 seconds with the Roller Skating Students on 26 January 2025. This World Record was recorded by International UK Book of World Records on 26 January 2025, organised by International UK Foundation &Thiyagu Skating Academy on the occasion of India’s 76 th Republic day.
KARATE COMPETITION
All India Aikga Karate open Championship 2025 conducted 1st All India Karate Competition. Hariniy. JR of class 5B secured first place in the colour belt under 14 year girls in the team KATA on 19.01.25. She received a certificate and a trophy

Loknath.S.S of 10A and Linganath.S.S.of 8A recieved the prestigious D.A.V KHEL RATNA Award on 01.02.25 at D.A.V. Pallikarnai for the achievement in Karate at National level .
Our school received PARTICIPATION POWER HOUSE AWARD for winning more prizes with less students ratio for the academic year June 2024- Dec 2025.
